Terms of service

1. Parties

These terms are between InsightShift, LLC ("we", "us") and you, the person or organisation using UpgradePath ("you"). By using the site or the MCP endpoint you accept them.

2. The service

UpgradePath publishes upgrade runbooks, compatibility data and upgrade plans for Kubernetes add-ons, served over the Model Context Protocol and on this site. The material is informational. You decide what to run on your clusters, when, and how, and you remain responsible for the outcome.

3. Accounts and keys

A paid subscription issues one API key tied to one Stripe customer. You may use that key from any number of your own agents, machines and pipelines. You may not share it outside your organisation, resell or sublicense access, or copy the corpus in bulk for redistribution.

4. Free tier

The free tools need no key and are rate-limited per IP address. We may change or withdraw the free tier at any time.

5. Payment

Subscriptions are billed by Stripe on the schedule shown at checkout. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them. Your key deactivates when the subscription ends or a payment fails, and reactivates when payment resumes.

7. Accuracy and warranty

Runbooks are drafted from upstream release notes, changelogs and chart diffs, reviewed, and tested on clusters we operate, as described on the coverage page. Upstream projects change after we publish, and your environment differs from our test clusters. We do not warrant that any runbook is complete, current, or fit for your environment. The service is provided as is, to the fullest extent the law allows.

8. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for the outcome of any change you make to your clusters.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal. We may revoke a key used in breach of section 3, and may suspend the service for abuse of the free tier or the support form.

10. Changes

We may change these terms. Changes appear on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after the date is acceptance.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
